Horse showing culture is massive and is around the whole entire world. There are many disciplines of riding. Some include Dressage, show jumping, hunter jumpers, Eventing, racing, side saddle, barrel racing, and many more. Each culture varies, but we can all agree on one thing... WE LOVE HORSES. I started riding at a young age doing equitation and hunter-jumper, which gave me a great foundation. I practiced horsemanship and worked at many barns. When I moved to California in 2015, I began Show jumping! I excelled amazingly and had an Olympic trainer Colin McIntosh training my horse and me. I had win after win after win!
Kenny and I were doing great! As i’ve mentioned, having a connection with horses is very powerful, and when I was going through any rough times, he felt that, and we had many falls. I always got back up, and we started doing well again! Horse showing is measured with the metric system. The more advanced you and your horse are, the higher you jump. With these skills, money is involved! Some classes in the 1.40m could win anywhere from $40,000 to $500,000 and even up to millions when showing internationally! This requires so much dedication between rider and horse. This is where culture really gets deep. Your whole life is the barn, your horse, and your other teammates at the barn.
